Image/Flash in TV: RichText

Hello everyone,

I define a TV as a RichText. I want to insert an image with TinyMCE in the TV,
but the CMS doesn’t save it to the DB. The same error appears, if I want to insert a flashmovie.
The insert of an image into the "content" does work. Can anybody confirm the error?

Yes, i could reproduce this behaviour.
This happens if the only content of the TV is the image (i did not try it with an swf). If i combine the image with some text its working.
But if you only want to insert an image you could create an image TV.

Hmm, the errors occurs in my environment too, if I combine an image or flash with text ...

This is a weird bug that eludes me. Ryan? Didn’t you mention a workaround at some point? If I’m not mistaken, I think the workaround is to set the default content field for the TV itself...just a word or something to tip it off. Try that and see if that does it. Also, what’s the name of the TV? Sometimes if the name has a hyphen or the like it can hose things up.

I’ve changed the TV-name again and again - but the error continues ...

I’ve updaed TinyMCE with the release 2111
OK, images and flashs are work well in the [*content*]
The "1 pixel" is gone ...

But the problem with images and flash in a TV RichText are still existing ...
The images and flashs aren’t save ...

Another point:
Hmm, if I import an image, I open the "Resources Browser".
But the thumbnails arent’t build ... only I see an empty rectangle ...

A last point:
If I import a flash (Typ Flash), I open the "Resources Browser", too.
The Resources Browser doesn’t point to the folder "Flash" - he point to
the folder "Files".

If you want to use both (image and swf) files. Jast create 1 TV radio button, 1 TV file,
and two chanks
1 TV radio button: flash || image
2. TV file widjet
3 flash with ....[*file*]
4 image ... <img src=[*file*]
And use it without promlems.

In the TV - RichText I can use one art of type of media only:
Only text OR only flash OR only pic.
