@SELECT binding not returning all rows?

This is a weird one... a @SELECT binding to populate options for a multi-select (in this case, it selects all immediate children under a "States" folder so I have a multi-select field for all US states). But Alaska disappears! If I copy the query into a MySQL command line, Alaska shows up fine. I've cleared the cache (even doing a rm -rf * removal of all cached files), but Alaska does not ever make it into the dropdown.

Anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this?
