Keeping existing CMS urls format ?nav=X&subnav=Y (was "http names")

Hi ,

I want to replace the old selfmade cms for the modxcms but because my website is good indexed in google i have this problem.

if i replace it and make the same pages then google and other search engines won`t recognise the pages.

i had indexed the pages in the old so :

?nav=home&subnav=(NAME OF SUB PAGE) (NO ID`s)
?nav=(NAME OF MENU PAGE) (NO ID`s)

Is there a possibility to make this possible in modxcms ?

so every page that i make will automatically change the url...

You could change the .htaccess, and you could change the prefix used by friendly URLs.

The biggest difficulty comes in doing both
?nav=home&subnav=SUBPAGE
and
?nav=PAGE

You could get the htaccess to work, but you’d probably have to hack some code in MODx somewhere to get it to put "&subnav=" instead of "/" in links it creates.

I took the liberty of renaming this thread.
