site_url randomly changes, need some tips on where to investigate

    I'm currently using MODX Revolution 2.1.5-pl

    Inside my page header chunk I have:
    <!--<base href="[[++site_url]]" />-->
<base href="myURL.com" />


    I had to hard-code the site_url as it would randomly switch to other URL and subsequently break the site. The URL it would change to, has always been one specific URL which is a vhost on the same Apache server.
