    Hi,

    I am just starting to scratch the surface of Modx. I am going to be building a website very similar to this one:

    https://utah.agclassroom.org/teachercenter/index.cfm?controller=main&action=lessonplan

    I need the ability to have a database of different lessons, and allow the user to search using different parameters. (grade level, subject, keyword, etc.).

    I'm thinking I can do that on Modx, but I wanted to get everyone's opinion to see if Modx was a good choice for this project before I really dive into learning.

    Thanks!

      I can't help with this, although I'll be watching this thread in the hopes of learning how.

      However... as far as I know, there's nothing MODX really can't do. Read this:

      And Welcome! I think you're going to be pleasantly pleased with MODX. :~}

        That series of articles is for Evo (1.0.x). Revo is quite different, although superficial content management is done in much the same way. Using either version, you'll definitely be needing custom database tables with custom back-end management; modules for Evo or Custom Manager Pages for Revo. Unless, of course, you prefer to have your management handled in the front-end with snippets, which would be much the same in either version. In either version, MODx usually allows several different ways to do something.
