Weblinks & 301/302 Redirects

I'm trying to create a 301 redirect using a weblink, however it's returning as a 302.

http://ec.marko.la/customers/showcase/ is a weblink pointing to http://ec.marko.la/customers/. However, it does a 302 redirect instead of a 301.

I checked the headers here http://www.internetofficer.com/seo-tool/redirect-check/

I've been searching everywhere, support/wiki/forums, to no avail. I've found a feature request for 301 redirects but apparently the feature is already in place, I just can't find it - http://bugs.modx.com/issues/3818

Sorry to revive this but still trying to resolve this issue. Any way you can make weblinks use 301 instead of 302?

I wanted to get rid of this bug in my 2.2.0-pl2 installation and just patched it according to the commit you posted. The problem is, that $this->getProperty() is not defined, so I did it with raw force so far:


There has to be a better way to do this, but how can I get the responseCode property in 2.2.0-pl2?

Your solution is fine for 2.2.0-pl2. There is a change in the upcoming 2.2.1 that allows custom properties to be defined for Resources, which will allow a UI element to control this responseCode value in the near future. Unfortunately, you can't backport the new property field to 2.2.0.
