getResources just dumping an array

Not that the array isn't useful...

But here's my snippet call:


All I can squeeze out of it is an array...and I'm slowly descending into madness. What am I doing wrong? (thanks!)

(FYI: this all started with an attempt to use @INLINE as a prefix... which I am also having difficulty finding the proper syntax for.)

You need the parameter .

The array dump usually means it can't find the Tpl chunk. The name is case-sensitive. [ed. note: BobRay last edited this post 14 years, 8 months ago.]

I can't find the proper syntax for @INLINE or @FILE either

"You can prefix any tpl property with @FILE or @INLINE to use a file-based chunk or inline markup respectively." doesn't explain the syntax very well. There should be an example in the docs

would use the anchor-list-item with the Menu property set. Looks like when you do so getResources doesn't feed the chunk the standard properties like id, pagetitle, etc [ed. note: dinocorn last edited this post 14 years, 7 months ago.]

I think the most reliable way is create a property set and set the tpl property with the @inline statement there. Then specify the property set in the tag:

Bob, so in that case would you be creating a property set on the getResources Snippet itself?

Well, property sets aren't *on* anything (you could use it with any element), but the set has to be 'attached' to the getResources snippet and the easiest way to do that is to create it on the properties tab of the snippet.

OIC, would the Property Set get overridden when getResources package is updated?

Definitely not, as far as the package install is concerned, the two are unrelated. That's one of the main reasons for using property sets.
