error reorder site tree (drag and drop)

Hi all,

I'm logged in as a user with Access Policy of 'content editor'. Now when i try to reorder pages in the site tree i get a ERROR popup:

"An error occurred while trying to save the resource."

any ideas why? setting the menuindex manualy does work.
I should add that the user has a customised interface through form cutomisation.
