    Hello!

    (sorry for my English)

I have a problem with manager permisson and I'm asking for your help.

    I have a folder:

    _Catalog_index
    ___Article 1 (by manager 1)
    ___Article 2 (by manager 2)
    ___Article 3 (by manager 1)
    __...

All managers can add articles in this catalog. How to prohibit for Manager 1 to edit, save or delete articles, which was created by Manager 2?

According to my example, how to allow Manager 1 edit-save-delete articles 1 and 3, but not 2?

    Thank you.

If it would work to just hide the resources from Manager 1, do this:

Create a User Group and put Manager 2 and the admin Super User in it.
Create a Resource group and put Article 2 in it.
Connect the two with a Resource Group Access ACL entry with a context of 'mgr' and a policy of 'resource'.

That will "protect" resource 2 from everyone not in the group.

      The other way around:

Put Manager 1 and the admin Super User in a new user group
Put resources 1 and 3 in a resource group
Connect the two like you did above.

BobRay, thank you for your answer. But your method doesn't solve the problem I tried to explain. I'll try to paraphrase my question.

Is it possible to allow to edit or delete articles only to theirs authors?

Managers of the site will add articles everyday, I can't manage articles' resourse groups permanently and managers can forget to add their articles in groups to avert their editing by other people. I need simple solution smiley

My solution does do what you asked for, it's just not simple.

I don't think there is a simple solution at point.

You can create a plugin that creates the user group, the resource group, and the ACL entry whenever a user creates a document, but it's not simple.
