eForm - From/From Name headers

    MODX Evo 1.0.4.

    By default we've always allowed eForm to handle all the sending. When a client gets the form the from field in their mail client will say ClientName <[email protected]>

    ClientName = Site Name from what I can tell (site_name)
    <default@domain> = the email set in the [(email_sender)] under Tools > Config

    Now the &from= parameter you can set to any email, but how can I set it to the email address of the person who just filled out the form? Much like the &replyTo= parameter, I just put `email` (no go)

    The &fromName= should also pull the person's name that filled out the form?

    Help is appreciated - thank you in advance!

      phx was the issue!!

      &from=`((email))` &fromname=`((firstName)) ((lastName))` is the correct call. Found here: https://forums.modx.com/thread/71522/my-eform-sends-from-unknown

          I've always suspected that there's something wrong with the regular expression in the phx plugin that handles its garbage collection. Never was able to figure it out though.
