when I try to login the back end the screen just refreshes and I am not logged in. It's not just me, someone else tried from a different IP address and had the same problem.
I think we're being logged in. I look in the database and my 'thislogin' is1327012098. I don't know what date/time that is, but since it is the highest number out of all the users listed I think I am actually logged in.
I thought about sessions and checked the php.info...
session.save_handler files files
session.save_path /tmp /tmp
The folder mydomain.org/tmp exists and is writeable.
Ideas?

You probably need to give more info to get help, such as which version of MODX, php, MySql, host, any recent changes, etc. Without knowing if you are using Evo or Rev it's very difficult to comment. There are several threads on both Evo and Rev, the easiest way of finding them is to Google "site:forums.modx.com modx cannot login".
When I had a similar problem with Rev I ended up doing a complete reinstall.
