How to disinstall Babel??? BIG problem with friendly urls

Hello all.
I developed several multilanguages sites with modx in the past, and tried to follow the babel tutorials to make another in revolution 2.2.
After 6 hours lost in trying to make all function well with Babel, following tutorials and hacking the .htaccess, I desisted because it's too much hassle for making a simple site in 2 languages. So I proceeded to delete the context I created, and disinstall babel and his plugins...
But now the website dosn't functions with friendly urls up!
I deleted all rules in htaccess except the rewrite engine/base, and I switched friendly urls on and off. I watched all around to find WHY I continue to get http://produttorigovone.in-wine.com/it/index.html instead of http://produttorigovone.in-wine.com/index.html as it now is, and why all other links to documents dosn't function, even when I right-click in the manager and make "Preview" (I get a 404 error).

Please, I need help, I cannot reinstall the site from zero at this point of the work!@____@

Ok, I solved the "broken links" friendly url problem: I had deleted some rules in htaccess togheter with the babel rules. Now the link work again BUT I still get
http://produttorigovone.in-wine.com/it/index.html
instead of
http://produttorigovone.in-wine.com/index.html

Someone knows why and were I can correct it?

To be sure:
Just use an original ht.access file from a new modx-installation, rename it to .htaccess and uncomment the lines needed.
Have you cleared your cache?
Maybe you have created some base_url / site_url settings for your context?

I recreated the .htaccess, and the friendly urls were ok, but I still got that /it/ in some of the urls.

I cleared the cache.

I created the base-url and site_url settings, but I set them to:
base_url: /
site_url: http://produttorigovone.in-wine.com/

Now it all seems ok, probably there was some bad setting in the context settings!

Now I created a "folder" for the english version of the site (and different templates for the english pages). It's not the perfect way to make it, but it gives me less headhaces than setting up babel for now

Yep I watched part of the video, but since I understand better the written english than the spoken one (since I don't speak english very often ) I reverted to use the written tutorials I found around the web.

But I had problems with some of the htaccess probably, but probably also with the context definitions and when I used the "babel links" I got "italian - italian" for the links even if I had set (or at least I thinked to have) the contexts and culture keys to it - italian and en - english.

Surely with more time and study I would have maked it function properly, but since I don't have the time at this moment to make a "trial and error" development, I prefer to make a folder and different templates for the two languages, and translate all documents one by one.

I find that the old examples, tutorials and specifications of ModX Evo around the web got to a point were I could search 3-4 pages on a topic, and find a PRECISE answer. With Revo probably we have to wait a bit to develop the knowledge base to that point.
I noticed this when, for examples, I tryed to find the correct usage for UltimateParent in wayfinder in revo. Probably the answer is there, a bit in the snippet usage explanation, a bit in wayfinder explanation, etc, but there is no CLEAR answer (or at least I couldn't find it), and if you see in the UltimateParent page, you don't even find a basic usage declaration :|
