I recently upgraded my Evolution installation from 1.0.2 to 1.0.5, but the version number in the manager didn't change. I manually went in and edited version.inc.php because that file was untouched during the upgrade process.
However I don't know how to ensure that my site is actually upgraded because I could have changed the version number manually before the upgrade just as easily.
What indicators can I check to ensure that my Evo install is actually 1.0.5?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Have a look at the modx1.0.5/install/changelog.txt in the package you downloaded. The current version should be marked at the top.
If you look at the version.inc.php found in the 1.0.5 package, you should only see 4 lines of code, whereas all other versions will each have a differing structure.
If the version.inc.php file did not get overridden when the update was done, you may have experienced an ftp issue and all the files probably didn't get uploaded. If you have any other glitches that could be the culprit.
A quick way to test whether you are using 1.0.5 is to use a TV with @INHERIT bindings, if you get a PHP Fatal Error you are using 1.0.5.
Much obliged for the information guys!
