    Hi there,

i've had a site running fine for about a year, all of a sudden I can't access the manager, I just get a 500 error. There have been no changes to the server or anything else.

Any ideas how I can get it working?

    Thanks!
    • 1. What version of MODx, PHP and what server OS?

      2. Check the .htaccess file in the site root as well as any other .htaccess files you may have.

      3. What was the last thing you did before this happened?

      4. Could be a file permissions problem; some servers will do that if a file is accessed that doesn't have the proper permissions. (usually 755 for folders and 644 for files)

If you have any PHP directives in the .htaccess file, your host may have decided to disallow that -- it's fairly common.
