I'm totally new to MODX. A client approached me with various issues on their site which some one else built. I have never used modx.

They are running MODx Revolution MODx Revolution 2.0.0-pl rev7212.

Basically the problem is when i login to the manager I see all the navigation buttons at the top but they only take me to blank pages.

No matter what i click on nothign loads. I jsut see the nav bar and a white page.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried almost everything suggested here on the forums for similar issues.

The first thing to try is deleting all the files in the core/cache directory in case there is a corrupted cache file.

You could check the paths in the config.core.php files in these directories:

            § MODX root directory
            § /manager/
            § /connectors/
            § /setup/includes/

Also, you could try going into PhpMyAdmin and repairing all the DB tables.

One ugly possibility is that someone has deleted some key files from the install. If there's a backup, you could try restoring the core, manager, and connectors directories.

As a last resort, you could back up the site and try upgrading to MODX 2.1.5.

ok i tried restoring the manager folder. same crazy result blank pages.

I also tried to repair the db no luch with that either.

Woudl restoring a backup of the core and connectors directory make any changes to the site itself in terms of content ?

                  Connectors should be no problem.

Core (assuming that you don't intentionally put stuff there) *should* be OK as long as you don't touch the core/components dir. That's where the individual extras you've installed keep their classes, lexicon files, etc. As usual, back everything up first.
