Community Challenge: file 200 documentation bugs, and I'll spend 2 days to fix 'm.

I've just posted this challenge on my blog, and want to give it a special share here.

Here's the summary:

All too often, people complain about the MODX documentation not being up to par, but far too little is being done about it. Even something as simple as reporting an error or missing information is vital – and something everyone can do. I'm going to challenge you to file 200 documentation bugs/request, and when we hit that milestone I will myself dedicate two full working days to fixing as many as I can.

I accept your challenge, and will contribute what time I have available to address any bugs that get filed. If anyone has server questions they would like better documented please file those as well!

OK here is one.
Can you please create a tutorial for MODext.

Something along the lines of:

"Creating a custom CRUD using MODext"
1. xtypes available (currently we don't have a comprehensive list in documentation)
2. How to use each xtype in a CREATE and UPDATE MODx.window (JS code, and all the code needed to provide data for dynamic controls including comboboxes etc)

It needs examples
You can't read it and start building a MODext CMP without opening the core manager files to fins examples, and this is not ideal.

Can you file that in the bug tracker? http://bugs.modx.com/projects/docs/issues

Part of this whole challenge is to encourage people to open that link more often Stuff in the forum is too easy to miss - the bug tracker helps keep it all easily available to those that are looking to help out with the docs


That said - I think that's a great idea. While most of the xtypes to use are inherited from ExtJS, there's definitely room for improvement in the modExt department!

How do you log a bug (I know i've done it before), I can't see an "add" button to add a new bug!!!
