I followed instructions for configuring contexts in Revo 2.1.x...
I'm using a sub-domain to keep things simple -- ON LOCAL DEV SERVER, not production.

    Root is http://mls2/dev5/

Desired context is 'foo' for http://mls2/dev5/foo/

Set up the base url as /, home/error pages, http_host as mls2/dev5/foo, site_url as http://mls2/dev5/foo/, put index, core_config, and .htaccess into /foo within /dev5 as the blogs say to do.

Site http://mls2/dev5/foo/ will appear with correct styles etc. but the desired 404 page does not appear, saying index.php cannot be found.

Also, images put onto pages don't appear either.

    What am I doing wrong??

REALLY prefer to have all the context files separate from the main site.

Using .htaccess doesn't do much because .htaccess doesn't really work with localhost or local server, all the examples on the Net are for www. and production sites.

    Thank you, Tom
    • Make a context setting for your error page on the foo context.

Key should be error_page then put the id of the resource that will be the 404 as its value.

As for the images I've never done anything local but its done with url rewrites in htaccess.

Sorry can't be of more help.

I did that for the error page, the error page itself will not display.
