Modext questions?

Hi guys,

Really enjoying building CMPs using MODext, but finding it very hard to find good examples and documentation.

Can you set the width of MODx.window?
How can we add a MODx RTE to a MODx.Window. I can see adding textfields, but I can't find more advanced examples.

Hi jusmeig,

modExt is basically some ExtJS extended. So beside http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/MODExt, the best doc comes in /manager/assets/modext/ folder

For example, you can learn more about MODx.Window. You will see it extends Ext.Window. Knowing that, you now can have a look at the official ExtJS 3.4 documentation : http://docs.sencha.com/ext-js/3-4/#!/api/Ext.Window

For the "good examples", i use to check other developers work (https://github.com/Mark-H , https://github.com/splittingred , https://github.com/lossendae to name a few). There also are good websites giving "pure" ExtJS examples (http://examples.extjs.eu/ , http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-3.4.0/examples/).

So, dealing about MODx.Window width, you can define it using the width parameter (defaulting to 450px in modExt).

Managed to cobble together a few CMPs, but I think we need some solid documentation on all the xtypes, with sample code and usage for each.
