Creating Categories

Hi, i am new in modx, and i couldnt understand well..
My question is ; is this possible to create categories like in wordpress, and when you click that category in the menu, listing posts with their thumbnail image and with short description, and when u click them opening the that post...

can anyone give me the code of this?
