Saving resource not possible (saving dialog is not going away)

Using MODX Revolution 2.2.0-pl2 (traditional).
As the the title explains, when saving a resource the dialog box opens and says "saving" but it won't go away. The system is stuck.

When I save a chunk, the dialog opens then goes away and nothing is saved, same for TV's...

Clearing the cache within the manager and on ftp did not help.

Any help is much appreciated.

One cause of that is a plugin tied to OnDocFormSave or OnBeforeDocFormSave that has a syntax error or other problem.

You might also try changing the system settings: compress_js and/or compress_css to 0. That has fixed some 2.2 problems for others.

Thank you for your help, it was indeed a plugin that caused the problems named SyntaxChecker. Removed it and all works as it should again. Thanks again for pointing that out to me!

and in my case, it was "SimpleSearch" plugin that needed an update.
