Hi there,
I'm trying to disable the friendlyurls rewrite in evolution for a particular directory. I need to access say temp1/temp.php.
I'm pulling out the little hair I have left : ). If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful.
Please help! Thanks.
Things I've tried so far:
RewriteRule ^(manager|assets|temp1) - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/temp1/(.*)$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
I've tried copying the full .htaccess to the subdirectory, I've tried RewriteEngine Off. Nothing seems to work.

RewriteRule ^(manager|assets|temp1)/*$ - [L]
should work.
Hi. Thanks for the quick reply. I was really hopeful, but that doesn't seem to work either. I tried that in both directories, and it's still redirecting with a 404 response (using live HTTP headers). The file I'm trying to access is definitely there. I can force the rewrite to not work in Firefox (though not in IE) by breaking the PHP code so that it gives warnings on the page instead of a simple echo 'test'. I'm not sure why that should make a difference. If I do that, I get a 200 response.
Any other ideas?
Hi. I think I've found the problem. My hosts were blocking 777 permissions, I think, and any PHP file in that dir was throwing a SoftException in Application.cpp:601: Directory "" is writeable by group error, then modx was trying to redirect to /assets/ for an error page and it's that that wasn't found? (I don't know). Anyway, thanks again for the help.

Ah, many configurations using some kind of suexec or su_php will do that. Folders have to be 755 and files 644.
