Morning All,
Working with Revolution 2.2.0-pl2 (I did notice your new sig Bob :~} )
So, now that I have a nifty "clear site cache" button in my manager menu (Thank You Bob Ray!) I'm much happier while developing. But that only reduced the clicking by one click. I find the pop-up that appears every time the cache is cleared to be very annoying.
I'm seriously "OK" with it clearing the cache every darn time I clear it. I don't feel the need to tell MODX that it's "OK" every time, nor do I ever want to download the output to a file when clearing the cache. I'm not even sure why anyone would care if the cache was cleared enough to warrant such a pop-up, except I suppose if the cache wasn't able to be cleared and one did need the output file. Cache clearing seems to always work, so that makes very little sense as well.
I feel that it's redundant and unnecessary. I like how saving a resource just saves, nice and quiet, and I can go about my business with no pop-up asking me if it's ok that I saved.
I noticed that Evolution (from watching one of Mary's tutorial videos) has no pop-up when clearing the cache. I hope Revolution has some kind of setting to eliminate this as well.
If I can eliminate this, I'd very much like to do so.
Thank you,
Kori

Maybe it could be a setting, as I would definitely prefer to see it. I do get errors sometimes and they are useful, for example if resources have duplicate aliases.

I think there will be times when it's unnecessary, and others when it should show up. Being able to turn it on and off as needed is what I'm hoping to accomplish.
For example, right now I'm blundering my way through styling a menu and the site itself is very basic. I'm editing in Notepad++ and taking advantage of Media Sources instead of using includeFile (which I'm already VERY attached to). At this point, ok'ing every cache clear is tedious (to me, likely cuz I make lots of changes hoping to see what I'm intending on creating --> I mean... I suck at all this).
I don't think I'd leave it turned off in the long run. However for the moment while mucking through things, I'd really like to simplify things a bit.
