    Hello,

I updated Modx Revolution from ver 2.1.5 to 2.2.0 via softaculous and when trying to access the backend I now get "That account could not be located. Check the username and re-type the password to try again." I have followed the Forgot you login button and instructions but it still will not let me in.

Is there a fix to this?

Any help would be fantastic as I'm stuck with no clue on how to proceed.

    Many thanks for your time.
    Simon.

Could you try clearing the site cache? (core/cache/*)

Also, make sure your browser cache is cleared, as well as any cookies for the domain.

To clear the site cache, simply delete everything in the core/cache directory. Don't worry; MODx will generate all that stuff again with the new values wink

Have tried deleting the core/cache directory contents but all this did was break the site fully. I stupidly didn't back up before hand so I had to recover the contents of the directory form a couple of days ago which has got the frontend back but still cannot log into to the site.

It's strange, when i deleted everything MODx failed to rebuild those files.

Any advice would be greatly received.

Well I have no idea, I have ended up having to replace the update with my backup. Back on 2.1.5 for now.

Thanks for the input, I will keep reading and post any updates. My only concern is the cache folder didn't rebuild itself...

Peace out and happy coding peeps.

Were you using 2.2.0-pl or was your upgrade 2.2.0-pl2?

I ran into some issues updating with the pl version. Once I installed pl2, all is well.

Also, did you happen to have Google Analytics plugin installed?

                  Hi Frogabog,

I installed the update 2.2.0-pl2 and I don't have the Google Analytics plugin installed.

List of Plugin's Installed (via the package manager):
                  Gallery
                  Fullsidegallery

Using Jquery library with 4 or 5 scripts.

The mystery continues. Everything is working as it should on 2.1.5.. strange indeed???

Try going into the System Settings table and changing the values of compress_js and compress_css to 0. I'm not sure it's related to your problem, but it's solved a number of other odd problems for people with 2.2.
