2.2 Form Customization Oddness

Working with form customization in 2.2 and some weird things are happening.

I create a new profile and set so that it will work with a specific parent. When I go to create a new item in under that parent, the field label changes that I had depicted in the set happen, but all of the fields that should be hidden are visible.

When I go back into the set, it shows all options are now default, and non of my changes are showing.

Anyone else experiencing this?
