I just switched (migrated) from etomite to Modx-Evolution. Quite faszinating the migration progress is still working and results in no errors, which really made trouble!

Is there a way to figure out which snippets/templates/plugins are currently used and maybe how often?
I just updateded from debian lenny to squeeze which pushed PHP to 5.3 thus I needed to nix some snippets due to the depricated split() stuff - and now I'm not sure which snippets need to be investigated and which are obsolet anyway

There's no easy way to tell which snippets are in use, but the error message you get will often tell you the ID of the snippet that's crashing.
Installing the current version of the most popular snippets (e.g., Wayfinder, Ditto, etc.) will usually cure the deprecated function errors.

I have a couple of custom snippets, where I cant reply on the normal ones (e.g. a blog, which chares entries via different websites and authors)
Since I just want to do this one - could I use a mysql statement?
I'm not sure about the db architecture of modx ...so maybe someone could point me to the table/cols?
I think about sth inverse of
for each $name of snippet/plugin/....
select * from site_content where xxx like '[!$name!]' OR xxx like '[[$name]]'
or so?

I'm not sure what you're asking, but I've been using MODX Revolution for so long that I cant remember how to deal with the DB in Evo. I'm sure someone else can help.

The database is the same for the elements Evo and Revo share; site_content, site_templates, site_snippets, site_htmlsnippets (chunks) and the like.
You'll need to check the templates and the chunks for any snippet tags as well as the content.

Cool, I really appriciated this!
It works like a sharme - just...well.
I would have to go via all pages of my site and "join | sort | unique" the snippet information to
get a real list of all used snippets.
Is there a compareable way for doing this recursively on all pages?
