I’m trying to move a site over to MODx, and am having a problem with the search engine friendly URLs.

To display an item with, for example, an id of 1234, my current sites uses the following url:

    http://www.somesiteimworkingon.com/something/somethingelse/1234/

I don’t want to lose all my Google links, so I would like to keep the url in this format.

Also, the 1234 will point to an id in a non-standard table in the modx database (i.e., not the id of a normal content page)/

Can anyone give me any pointers on this?

      hi Gareth!

      can’t you use the
"Use friendly alias path" setting for this? Or otherwise if it’s fixed use the prefix field?
