I've just logged into the manager in Evo 2.1.5, updated and saved a chunk. I then noticed the "Resources" tab was blank. Refreshed the page to see if it would return and the screen went blank. Frontend is fine. Restarted browser, tried alternative browser, deleted cookies to no avail. Unable to check the error log in my hosting panel because of a separate issue. Any ideas? Updating is the only thing I can think of.

Hello,
Could you please confirm if you are using Evo (1.0.5) or Revo (2.0.x, 2.1.x or 2.2.x), also did you attempt to upgrade from Evo directly to Revo? Also who is your hosting provider, and did they make any recent changes?
My bad, sorry. Yes, it's Revo 2.1.5.

Bump. The only hosting change was a mysql upgrad from 5.1 to 5.5, but that was more than 3 weeks ago when I was still working on the site. I'll try manually clearing the cache, otherwise I'll probably try an update to shake things up.

There's a system Setting that controls whether the minimized .js file is used, but I can't remember the name of it.
[Update] The two settings to try changing are compress_js and compress_css. You may only need the first one.
If you modify it in PhpMyAdmin and clear the core/cache directory, I think it might solve your problem.

Thanks BobRay, that cracked it.
Mostly harmless.
I'm glad it worked. Thanks for reporting back.
BTW, it was just the compress_js setting I changed.
Mostly harmless.
This was much needed help! I had almost the same issue. I recently updated to Revo 2.2.1-pl and it seemed to be working fine until suddenly...poof. Nothing on the back end. Had the menu, resources sidebar, and even the dashboard when I logged in, but any other manager page (like system settings, user, etc.) was blank. When I viewed a resource, it displayed a non-styled version of the Template Variables tab and that was it.
I did just as you suggested, BobRay, and changed the value of compress_js in the database from 1 to 0, manually cleared the cache, and it seems to be working just fine now.
This just cleared up two days of frustration. Thanks!!
