Forum driving me crazy.

Is is just me?

I'm getting frequent Gateway Timeout messages when I try to post replies. I just got this (first time I've seen it) trying to visit the Forum home page:



When things go bad, I can go to another website fine and I can often load the forum home page and even post other replies. But most of the time I absolutely can't reply to the message I was trying to reply to -- even if I come back to it an hour later.

At other times, just going to forums.modx.com will give me a timeout errror though other sites work fine.

It's really frustrating to spend a half-hour composing a reply to someone and have no way to send it. TBH, it's keeping me from posting as much as I normally would.

BTW : How many time is generally required to ship your book to Europe ? (I bought mine 3 weeks ago (1 week before Christmas and I have not received it yet)

I it's just me, there's probably something going on with my machine, because I've seen it going through different ISPs.

Sorry anso, I don't know anything at all about the shipping times. I know people across the pond have received the book but I don't know how long it took.

I get it occasionally from the eastern hemisphere. Just got the nginx bad gateway error last night, as a matter of fact. Sometimes it's impossible to post. Sometimes the whole of modx.com goes sour.

That sounds exactly like what I'm seeing. People who don't post as often as we do probably don't see it.

Yeah, I practically live on the modx.com site one way or another. Sometimes I wonder if I need to get a life... nah. I like it this way.

being in europe too, i've encountered the same problem quite a lot and that has taken me away from the forum a while...

@anso, it takes quite a while to get bob's book over here (france for me), i nearly had forgotten i had bought it when it arrived, well it was a really good surprise then and it's freakin' worth waiting for it

I've not had any problems posting but I have though about commenting on the fact that the site seems very very slow a lot of the time. I'm in the uk if that makes any difference, i don't know where the modx servers are.
