Don't know the right word but for some reason text suddenly appears like this. If i look up the resource the the (dutch) word is shown correctly: zéér. How comes? How to fix?

Make sure the charset in your templates matches the one in the MODX config file and the character you see in PhpMyAdmin for all tables and fields in the DB. If not, don't change the settings in the DB -- it's more complicated than that.
