    What is the best approach?

I want to create a community website for thousands of users that can upload dozens of files and dozens of parameters. Upload a text document, pdf , jpeg, mp3, etc. Then add text for the title and description for each one.

I started with Template Variables and that worked, but I would have a document in the admin for every users page the was created! I also played around with binding a select statement. But I would have to create a new db table, what happens during an upgrade? Do I lose my custom tables?

You might look at the PPP snippet. You shouldn’t loose custom tables during an upgrade.

        Thanks!

        I found PPP at http://www.learningmodx.com

I will look into it. Do suggest creating additional tables or a separate database?
