There is a line of code in my siteCache.idx.php file that is generating html header code. So I deleted it (the line), and now I keep getting:
    Cannot open file (../assets/cache//siteCache.idx.php)
I get that everytime I try to save anything in ModX. I need to know how to delete or fix something in siteCache.idx.php or how to fix the error I keep getting.

    Thanks.

Manually editing the siteCache file is only necessary as a last resort recovery effort if you’ve really messed up a script and you are unable to login to the manager. Otherwise, this should never be edited by hand. And I’ve rarely seen a situation that demands it. Everything written to the siteCache file comes from your site definition, so those lines you deleted are coming from somewhere in your MODx content.

I suggest rerunning the installer (in upgrade mode) to "fix" the siteCache file, or, if you are able to still use the manager, you simply need to refresh the cache. If this header code comes back, you know that it is indeed in your template, a chunk, or somewhere else in your site definition, and in order to remove it, you need to edit the template or chunk that contains that content and keeps putting it back into your siteCache file.

There is a plugin that’s doing that most likely then... MODx won’t otherwise insert anything like that.
