Hi all,

I've been experimenting with the latest RC (MODX Revolution 2.2.0-rc3 (traditional)) and the new Articles module.

Have to say, this is absolutely amazing and perfect for MODX, thanks Shaun!

Have a question though, how can i pull the latest article and present it on the front page?

In ditto it was done something like this:

    [!Ditto? &parents=`5` &extenders=`summary` &tpl=`tplBlog` &orderBy=`createdon ASC` &display=`6` &truncText=`Continue Reading This Article` &dateFormat=`%e %B %Y`!]

    Chunk: tplBlog

[+pagetitle+]

[+summary+]

[+link+]

You can use getResources to do the same thing. While the individual articles aren't listed in the Tree, they are all children of the main Articles document, so you can use it as the parent.

If anyone is having trouble displaying postings when using getResources, the trick is to use

        &showHidden=`1`

        within your gR call.
