    Hi!

    I’m running MODx 0.95.

    First of all: despite this problem my site works quite well. But I’m not quite sure wether my pages are being cached or not. There’s nothing happening in the assets/cache directory (permissions are ok). And when I clear the cache via the manager, it says that there are 3 files in the cache-dir and that none has been deleted.

    Maybe I - as a MODx newbie - don’t understand the principles of MODx’s caching, but it seems to me that no page gets cached ("This document has not (yet) been cached."). All pages are cachable by default.

    Now: what shall I do/check?

    ps: yes, I’ve used the forum’s search, but "cache" isn’t the best search phrase wink

    pps: I’ve also tried a ’0.95 clean install with the demo site - no caching. Though works with 0.96RC3. Help?!

      There’s a plugin in the 0.9.5 distribution called DisableCache. Disable it and your cache will no longer be disabled...
      wink

        Thx. But I cannot find a plugin "DisableCache" in the ressource manager. Any ideas on that?

          Are you sure you have documents marked as cacheable?

            Cachable = checked.
            I’m doing a 0.95 default installation on my local Windows box (XAMPP) right now. The actual "problem-site" runs on LAMP.

            /edit: Installation on XAMPP went well, but the MODx frontend nearly crashes my Apache. The backend however runs well. I hate it when this happens smiley

              Hi,

              I have the same problem with the cache, my documents are marked as cacheable and I don’t have the DisableCache plugin either. This problem occurred after changing provider, everything were great on my server.

              Thank you

                try disabling the template switcher snippet if you have it
