Fetching some resources and combing them into a single new resource?

Hello MODX pros,

I'm looking for a solution to fetch some resources (or parts of resources) and combine them into a single new resource! This should be a solution for the backend. An admin should select resources from a list and combine them (or parts of them - e.g. *pagetitle and introtext) into one new resource.

We are working on a complete new newsletter/mailing list plugin for Revo where the creator of a newsletter can select n resources or parts of resources for his mail-body.

Any hints on how to realize this?
Are there any extensions/plugins which could help?
Do we need to develop from scratch?

Have you looked at the EmailResource package for Revolution? The upcoming version sends email versions of a resource when previewed from the back end to specified user groups .

Other resources (or parts of resources) can easily be included in the resource you're sending by using a variety of methods (e.g., @RESOURCE TV, getResourceField snippet, @CHUNK TV, MIGX, custom TV, etc.).

The version at GitHub will do bulk emails, but there is no progress bar yet (just a blank screen until all are sent) and sending to very large groups may cause you to run out of memory.
