Hello, I'm using MODX Revolution 2.1.1-pl (traditional).

As I was trying to save a document, I got the message that this document doesn't exist and suddenly the website was not working and all the documents in the document tree have been deleted.

Anyone has any idea is to what could have caused it and how to solve it?

Not sure why this might have happened but as usual, it's best to be running the latest version of MODX which is currently 2.1.5-pl. It sounds to me however that you lost connection to the database. Are you able to look at you DB via phpMyAdmin? Are the tables and resources there?

I didn't check it cause all of my chunks, snippets & templates still exist. So I thought that it's not the problem

It could be that the site_content table has become corrupted. It's also possible that something got corrupted in the access controls blocking your permissions to deal with resources.

It could be the entire database, not just the MODX tables. If you have PHPMyAdmin, I think the best thing to do is export the site_content and site_html (chunks).

I recently had a site that's been doing just fine for 18 months. It handled multiple Revo upgrades. Then ker-poof! Nothing worked. No site, no manager functionality.

So I'd see if your most recent content in the database has something amiss.

I hope you can rescue at least the table.

One thing you could try before that is manually delete EVERYTHING in the core/cache directory. Before you do that, login, Flush Cache, Flush Permissions, and then Flush All Sessions.

And clear your browser cache and cookies just to give you a completely fresh start.

Thanks for the extra tips Bob. I have my browser cache set to Zero but I find it never hurts to clear it anyways.
