    I'm just, kind of, playing around with MODX right now, I really like it thus so far, and I've got a test site I'm working on.

    Wayfinder appears to be doing it's job and makes the following code:
    <div id="ajaxmenu">
        <ul id="myajaxmenu">
            <li class="category first">
                <a title="Home" href="http://troyknapp.com/Test/">Home</a>
            </li>
            <li class="category ">
                <a title="Blog" href="index.php?id=2">Blog</a>
                <ul style="display:none">
                    <li class="first">
                        <a title="product" href="index.php?id=22">product</a>
                    </li>
                </ul>
            </li>
            <li class="category ">
                <a title="MODx Features" href="index.php?id=8">Features</a>
                <ul style="display:none">
                    <li class="first">
                        <a title="Menus and Lists" href="index.php?id=9">Menus and Lists</a>
                    </li>
                    <li>
                        <a title="Content Management" href="index.php?id=10">Manage Content</a>
                    </li>
                    <li class="last">
                        <a title="Extendable By Design" href="index.php?id=11">Extendability</a>
                    </li>
                </ul>
            </li>
            <li class="category ">
                <a title="Getting Help with MODx" href="index.php?id=12">Getting Help</a>
            </li>
            <li class="category ">
                <a title="Design" href="index.php?id=13">Design</a>
            </li>
            <li class="category last">
                <a title="Contact Us" href="index.php?id=14">Contact Us</a>
            </li>
        </ul>
    </div>

    When I remove the styling for the ul elements (style="display:none") the submenu appears correctly... it just won't go away, so I'm assuming that the JS switches the styling on mouseover.

    I am far from an HTML or JS expert, my only web experience is in php and MySQL... in fact, this is my first real attempt at modifying a site's look and feel.

    Obviously, this is a very slightly modified version of modxhost's theme... if you would like to see a version that actually works, you can reference that.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

      Got one step closer, apparently there is a conflict between the Nivo Slider and the menu JS, hmmm...

      Edit: more specifically, the problem is a conflict with jquery-1.6.1.min.js If I comment that out, the menus work fine. I probably need to rename my js functions. [ed. note: mrhyde last edited this post 14 years, 10 months ago.]

        Two things maybe causing the problems:
        <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/NivoGallery/nivoSlider/scripts/jquery-1.6.1.min.js"></script>
        <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/NivoGallery/nivoSlider/scripts/jquery.nivo.slider.pack.js"></script>

        This code is somwhere in the middle in your body. Put this in your head section before including the mootools library.

        Then I think there's a conflict between the mootools and jQuery Library..you could try to using the jQuery.noConflict() as described here.
