I run several MODx installations on one server, and unfortunately diskspace is at a premium.
Can anybody give some advice on whether it would be possible to share the TinyMCE folder across several MODx installations?
I tried setting up an Apache redirect, which worked for the site, but not for the admin centre. I suspect I’d need to set up symbolic links on the (Linux) file system? If I did this, would it cause me problems when upgrading?

    Any feedback appreciated smiley

This seems to work OK with symbolic links.
One minor issue is that my "master" MODx is running 0.9.6 RC3, and the others are running slightly older versions.
The difference is that RC3 has tinymce in a folder called "tinymce210", rather than "tinymce".
I worked around this in one install by editing the database (plugins table) to try and correct the path but in the end had to create to symlinks, one called "tinymce" and one called "tinymce210".

For the next site I tried to keep things simpler and just mapped tinymce directly to /mymastersite/assets/plugins/tinymce210/ without messing about with the DB, and that seemed to work fine.

      Hope this can help someone.
