Can't log in to manager... it just does nothing!

Hi Guys,
We have a website build in Evolutions 1.0.2. We have created a clone of this site and put it in a subdomain of the original site.

The subdomain version now seems to work perfectly from the front end, however we are unable to log in to the manager. We put the correct username and password into the log in screen, and press log in. Then the standard Firefox 'do you want us to remember your log in details' pop up appears, you click yes / no / whatever and then the log in screen doesn't change. It doesn't do anything at all, there's not even any evidence that it's trying to do something.

I have tried googeling every thread possible, and found one talking about session variables, but this was for a revolutions install, not an evolutions install...

Any help or pointers would be great.

I have tried that, cleared session cookies cache and everything... But when i press login, nothing happens, i don't even get an error message if i type incorrect details in.

Have just looked at the manager page and tried to log in and used firebug to see what is happening behind the scenes... It seems like the login.processor.php file can't be found (returning error 404), even though the file is there in ftp, and the permissions are correct.

Any ideas anyone??

Try uploading the files again and rerun the install (upgrade mode), see if that resolves the problem.

If not could you tell us more about your hosting environment?

It was the hosting that was causing the problem it seems. We moved the site to a new space on the server and it worked perfectly without doing anything differently.... There must have been some kind of conflict somewhere that didn't like having 2 modx installs on one server..

Glad to hear you were able to resolve the problem. I would be interested to know more about how you had things installed, as two (or more) MODX installs on the same server is very possible. We have servers with 10-60+ MODX installs, granted that's only assuming one install per primary domain.

I suspect there was some overlap causing problems.
