This was fun. I edited the system setting 'session_cookie_domain'. I was trying to login users to multiple contexts and read that you set 'session_cookie_domain' to be .domain.tld .
So I did. This then locked me out of my site. The manager and web context. I couldn't log in because when I tried, it would return me back to the manager login screen.
So I went into the database and found the system setting 'session_cookie_domain' and changed it to be empty again. Then I had to go to the cached files and edit this file: /www/core/cache/system_settings/config.cache.php
So, instead of going home with a broken site, I can go home and sleep. Just thought I would post this here in case it happens to some one else.
FWIW, after making the change, you'll likely have to manually remove your session cookies in your browser for the site in order to login again.

Hey, thanks. That did the trick. What I didn't understand was that it was acting the same on different browsers.
