Minimize file count?

Dear MODXers,

I'm using MODX on a free shared hosting account. It's very good (the best of what I've seen and has the required features and good performance as well as uptime). The only drawback of it is 100,000 inode count limit.

I've already hit this limit with MODX. So I want to ask which files I could remove without harm to MODX?

The lexicons are the easiest thing... What about core/packages, core/export, core/import?

You might do better with Evo then. You really can't expect a heavy-duty world-class application like MODx Revo to work well on hosting intended for cute-kitten blogs. Evo is quite a bit simper, while actually providing much the same end result with a bit more work on the developer's part.

Thanks for your reply. I must say, Revo works very well on most of free hostings I've tried. Of course there are always some little things one may need to take care of to get it working well, but please don't make people think MODX Revo will not be usable on a free hosting.

The usual limitations are MODX-unrelated like disabled mail() etc.

Of course, not every free host will do it, as in this case, but there are at least some of them which will run MODX Revo without problems. I will probably just switch again:)
