The only thing I see in the component menu (composants in french) in Quip.

    Thank
    • That's normal; at least that's what it's always done for me from the beginning. Components are the equivalent of Evo's Modules; they provide the management interface for the object in question. Articles has no components, it's all managed through the Custom Resource. Actually, Articles also provides a tab for managing the comments on a selected article, but Quip does provide its own management upon being installed.

      • Oddly enough, I don't get any components at all when installing the latest Articles. Everything works just fine, though.

Ah, once I logged out then logged in again (flush sessions would have accomplished the same thing, I suppose) the Components menu appeared. I also have to flush permissions before the Create Articles Here context menu item appears after installation. [ed. note: sottwell last edited this post 12 years, 4 months ago.]

Thank you very much for answering and for telling me that Articles was manage through the Custom Resource.

But is that the errors mentioned in the log file are normal and no problems in the functioning of Quip?

          Thank

Actually, I think reloading the Manager page will do it (though you might need to clear the site cache first). wink

            • No, Quip works just fine. It looks like for some reason the installer is trying to install Quip twice.
