Google serp catching footer information rather the content.

My website in google serp is only showing footer content; where as it should show content below site description .

I have seen in past that if nothing updated in summary(introtext) or other fields of modxcms. It picks up the content gets shown in google.

Any suggesstion?

If you don't have a meta description tag, Google will pull whatever it finds most relevant from the body of the page. The only thing you can really do about that is make sure you have a meta description for each page.

How you do that completely depends on your template. A lot of templates use the description or introtext fields for the meta description.

I suppose you could write a snippet to pull the meta description from the content if these fields are empty, but it's probably easier to just make sure that whatever field is being used for the meta description gets filled out.
