Hi, I run a corporate side I inherited on MODX. I am relatively new but have never had problems with timeout or file upload until today. The only things I did today were add a user, remove the limit on password misses and minutes locked out and make a few other changes in the tools-> config area.
I have been adding small 5KB pngs and the file uploader in assets>images will not load images anymore. It stays at 0% and the wheel just spins, as though it's timing out. Eventually I click log out, close out of the browser, and log back in and can get back to where I was, but more files will not upload.
This seems to lock up all of MODx and also the website itself loads slow.

I have read a few threads that it could be a limit on filespace somewhere? Although I don't know how/where to increase that limit if that is the case. I don't know how to find what errors are occurring. I just really need some help diagnosing what is going on. Is there a size limit on the assets folder?

I would GREATLY appreciate any help or advice you can give me. Just don't know where to look.
    Thank you

Are you running this on a server that is running ModSecurity? mod_security is a great apache module for additional security for your site, but it tends to prevent the manager from doing all sorts of stuff.

Have you checked your server logs? E.g. apache and PHP logs?

There are limits on the upload size of a single file, but only the host would throttle uploads based on the size of ALL files (i.e. disk quota limits are enforced by the host, not by MODX).

      What version are you using?
