If you can provide us with some information on how the site is built, we can look into optimizing things further. What if any snippets/plugins are you using on the site, what snippets do you have uncached ( [[!snippet]] ), and how many pages is the site roughly?
It depends on the provider, but most offer free migrations, so you wouldn't need to do anything other than providing them the login information.
i have about 30 resources total, most of them are just page sections using getresources to combine them.
I use gallery to run the slideshows and a photo gallery, use getresources, wayfinder, I use a couple little snippets to get a tv, they are all cached.
It's really a simple site so i'm surprised godaddy isn't working out with this one (I have other modx sites on godaddy). Godaddy advertises modx on their hosting plans?

That is small enough it should work on GoDaddy without any problems regardless of the caching. What version of MODX is this compared to your other sites?
In most cases hosting providers advertising a specific script (ex: MODX), it just means they meet the requirements for the script. Advertising is about getting your business, not necessarily providing the best support (if any) for the scripts advertised.
We advertise MODX with our hosting plans for example, granted we also back up that advertising with a fair amount of in depth MODX support. We could also advertise Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress hosting, as we have some clients with each, but we offer little support for those systems outside of basic getting it installed and such. It's all a question of the clients you want to attract. At least in my mind.
the other sites are either 2.1.3 or 2.1.5 - this one is 2.1.5. (understood about the godaddy advertising)
Upgraded to 2.2 (like the manager alot!) but still having the same issue with caching.
Also, I put another simple site on modx 2.2 godaddy recently, the client loves it - but i am now having the same problem with that one? (a blank page is cached) the only error i see in the manager is
[2012-01-04 22:38:16] (ERROR @ /assets/components/gallery/connector.php) Error caching action map mgr/actions
I did do a server transfer on each of those two sites - would i have messed something up? I followed the directions for transferring servers.
So i am disabling the whole cache on both sites for now - I am assuming that will temporarily fix it.

If you moved the sites, did you update the config file paths? (Core, Manager, and Connector folders, plus web root)
yes, edited 4 different config files and changed workspace paths in the database as .
anyone one else ever have this problem with sites that have been transferred to a different server?

We haven't encountered this problem on our servers, if you like I can try your site on one of our servers. If it works properly it's an environment issue, otherwise a MODX issue.
Send me an email if interested patrick at skytoaster.com
Do you have any news about this problem (blank pages) ? I have the same problem with OVH provider on a sharing server with a little site too (30 pages). I'm very interested on it.
The site is running on Modx 2.2 with Snippet Breadcrumbs, Formit, GoogleSiteMap, getPage, getResources, UltimateParent and Wayfinder. PHP 5.2.17, MySQL 5.1
