Hi,
I've set up a members area on a site, using Login, where users supply their username and password (set up by admins in the backend) and then access the members pages. However I need to find a way for the username to be passed through to the pages where they land, probably using the SESSION variable. I've done this from first principles, but no idea how to do this in MODx.
What I want is for when users (for example) want to edit their details, the system will recognise their username and pull out the values from the correct record in the db. I will also use it to display their username as part of a welcome message when they log in.
I have used
[[!Profile]] [[+username]]
as per the tutorial for Login, but what I need is to somehow convert that into a new variable that can be passed and checked against the db...
Any idea how this can be done? Thanks
