Hi
I have just installed MODx on my MAMP install which is behind a proxy server and have logged into MODx and added my proxy server details into the settings.
Now when I browse the packages i can see the list, however trying to download any packages these fail with an error message:
Could not download package at: http://modx.com/extras/download/?id=4e789d67f24554722d000118

I am having this issue as well. Has anyone come up with a solution?
I've still not managed to solve it which is a bit of a pain as I am having to keep disconnecting from the office network to get the packages and develop the website
AFAIK, there should be no issue with proxy servers and the package management downloads. These settings were for the RSS feeds if I remember correctly.
When I don't set a proxy I can't get the list of packages from the remote site, then when I add the proxy I can browse available packages to install but clicking download on any of them gives the error which is above.
It seems as though the download part does not use the proxy details?
Can you add a ticket for that so it gets addressed asap?
Hi,
I have just raised it, let me know if I have not raised it correctly.
