Media Source Headaches

Can someone point to more information about Media Sources than what's on the rtfm? For one thing, setting path and URL values causes the file browser to only return that limited path when selecting an image. For example, setting them to assets/images/pages/ will return pages/image.jpg.

Does it require tinymce installed to work properly?

It returns only the limited path, but when it renders in the front-end, you'll note that the path is filled out.

This is to prevent the "browsing" of directories not allowed in the media source. It simply masks the viewing of the parent dirs when editing, but when rendering appends them back on. IOW, don't worry about it.

One thing that bothers me is that when assigning a media source to a TV, it only shows the web context. Shouldn't it also be showing the mgr context?

Ok, I see where the problem is. It's with Articles; it doesn't expand the TV raw URL, nor does it use the output widget.

See my post on your other thread; you just need to toggle the Articles advanced setting that tells getArchives to process TVs.
