I’m really worried. :’( I’ve a website with two folders beneath the root and the content in this two folders (it’s a bilingual site). This worked for a time but now I can only get the content of the first folder and absolutly none of the second. Strange enough every document beneath the first root will show up. I cleared the cache, removed locks - nothing. Maybe it’s a database problem, because while copying a document there was a long warning at the manager with something like "database connection lost". I hope not because restoring a database with german umlauts may cause some trouble. Please help.

Let’s do this step by step.

First thing would be make sure everything is there in the modx_site_content table in phpMyAdmin and if so, make sure it’s not corrupted.
I one of the folder is corrupted then check your DB backup and only import the record back into the DB.

Restoring the DB, in any case, should not be a problem when you exported the collation was set during the export I don’t see why you should have problem with umlauts (as a french, I have accents and no problems).

Thank you, DavidM. You are right, the database was corrupted, I uploaded an older copy, everthing works fine and not to much work is lost. Even the umlauts are still umlauts smiley (I always had trouble with them using other CMS.)

          Great news smiley

I always do weekly backup of every website for this very reason... I’ll maybe even try to set up CRON jobs to do that daily for frequently updated websites...
