    Hi,

Say I have someone coming into my site, using the top level domain.
    e.g www.mydomain.com
Since I am not sending any album, how can i show them the first album on the list?

Hi again meytal1 smiley I need to do this too! I hope you don't mind me posting in this thread. I figured it would be necessary to redirect the index page to the relevant gallery url eg. www.mydomain.com/folios/home/

The problem I have with this is I need the index page to use a different template to my folio pages. But redirecting to the folio url calls the resource that uses the folio template.
      My gallerys (using .htaccess)

      /folios/home/
      /folios/gallery1/
      /folios/gallery2/

      File tree
      ---------------------------------
      index (1)	(home.tpl)
      Folios (2)	(folio.tpl)

I've looked at using weblinks for redirect and played around with freeze URI but no joy yet. I'm also wondering if using a context could solve this?

It's a bit tricky to explain so I hope someone can follow this and offer some advice.

@meytal1: Can't you just set &album=`1` in the snippet call? I think that's overriden by an url request

@bobwal What exactly is the problem you're facing? I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve and how that's not working out for you.

Trying to find the most complicated solution to a simple problem laugh

Oops of course, setting &album=`` does the job. I sometimes get so caught up in the complex stuff I end up missing the simple things, that's my excuse anyway.

          Thanks for the pointer Mark.

            Hi

I guess the question of meytal1 was displaying the first album (the order of appearance in Manager). The id is not necessarily "1".
I'm facing the same problem and i don't know how to solve it.
