  • I am having a dreadful time with the security system. I created a new user, group, role and access policy, and they all worked just fine (except for one caveat involving Media Sources). Using Articles, I created a new article with this user, and all was well. Then one thing and another came up and I deleted the new role, group, user and access policy. Now my original Administrator user cannot see that new article in the list of article in the Articles management interface! The page is still up on the front-end. Is this purely an Articles problem, or a basic permissions problem?

I solved the problem in database by manually setting the createdby to 1 (the Admin user), but this is still a puzzling occurrence. [ed. note: sottwell last edited this post 12 years, 3 months ago.]

Probably an Articles loophole. Can you file it here? http://bugs.modx.com/projects/articles/issues
